The historic village haven of Georgetown is located where the towns of Wilton, Redding, Ridgefield and Weston meet.
The central portion of the village is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places and consists of the former Gilbert & Bennett manufacturing plant, institutional housing built for the plant workers, and other private homes. Georgetown Plaza Shopping Center is conveniently located on Rt. 7 offering a number of restaurants and specialty shops. Depending on where in the village of Georgetown residents reside, determines their school district may be in Wilton, Weston, Ridgefield, or Redding.
The community's close proximity to Interstate 95 and Merritt Parkway makes it an ideal place for commuters. Grand Central Terminal is about 90 minutes on express trains from the nearby Branchville MetroNorth Station.
